New heat-pump insights and proactive offline alerts: Podero release notes July 2026

July brought two important improvements to Podero’s heat-pump product: clearer explanations of past optimization periods and proactive notifications when a connected heat pump remains offline.

Together, these updates make heat-pump optimization easier to understand and help users resolve connectivity problems that could prevent their device from being monitored and steered.

Clearer explanations of past heat-pump optimization

Smart-energy products should not only optimize devices automatically. They should also make it possible to understand what happened and why.

In July, Podero added historical explanations for completed heat-pump optimization periods. Partners can now review a selected period and receive a plain-language explanation of how the heat pump was scheduled and how it behaved during that time.

The explanation combines the planned operating modes with measured electricity consumption. It also considers the outdoor temperature during the selected period, helping distinguish between space heating and hot-water operation more accurately.mWhere telemetry is incomplete, the explanation identifies gaps instead of drawing conclusions that the available data cannot support. This creates a more transparent account of the optimization period and makes it easier to understand whether the heat pump followed the intended plan.

For utilities and energy providers, historical explanations can support customer communication, performance reviews and operational investigations. They provide useful context without requiring someone to manually interpret schedules, telemetry and weather conditions separately.

Proactive notifications when a heat pump is offline

Reliable optimization depends on maintaining a working connection to the device. Podero has therefore improved how users are informed when a myUplink-compatible heat pump can no longer be reached.

If a heat pump remains continuously offline for 48 hours, Podero now creates an in-app notice and can notify the user by email and push notification. The message asks the user to check the device’s power supply and internet connection. Each outage generates one notification, avoiding repeated alerts for the same connectivity problem. If the device reconnects, the notice is automatically resolved and normal monitoring and optimization can resume.

The system also distinguishes between an offline device and a device that needs to be reauthenticated. This helps ensure that users receive guidance appropriate to the actual problem rather than conflicting requests.

For partners, proactive offline notifications reduce the need to identify and follow up on disconnected devices manually. For users, they provide a clear explanation of why optimization may have stopped and what they can do to restore it.

July’s updates strengthen two important parts of the Podero platform:

  1. greater transparency into completed heat-pump optimization periods 
  2. faster and clearer communication when a heat pump loses connectivity 

Together, these improvements make heat-pump flexibility easier to operate, explain and scale—while giving users greater confidence in how their devices are being managed.
